Maria Guzman and I had a great meeting this morning. Although our 15 year reunion is still a few years away, I’ve learned that it is never too early to start planning. We’ve had positive feedback concerning the plan of a 15 year reunion and are excited to see everyone in 2012.

Our goals for 2009 are to locate our classmates and come up with funds for the event. The votes are in and it looks like the majority of our class is in favor of having a 15-year reunion instead of an 11-year gathering. That means we will be seeing each other in 4 years (sometime in 2012). I am now living in the United States, so the mishap that took place last year will not happen again. Hopefully by the time our reunion approaches, I will have heard from the rest of the class officers. If anyone out there knows how to get in touch with:

So far, there’s a small handful of people interested in having a reunion…

I propose that we have an informal gathering sometime in the spring or summer.

Here is a list of things we’ll need to make it happen:

1)An organized committee devoted to seeing this thing through
2) Genuine interest from at least half of our class
3) A venue/ location for our event
4) Food, drinks, decorations
5) cash/fund raisers/donations that will allow us to cover our costs

Technically if we have the reunion this year, it would be our 11 year reunion. I thought the best way to organize this was to get professional help since the rest of the class officers from our year are nowhere to be found. I called Reunions by Party People and explained the situation to them. They will not take our reunion as a project because it is an “off” year and the typical turn-out for off year reunions does not make any money for their company.

My current thought is that we simply have a casual get together for those of you that are in need of reuniting.

The other option is to hold of and have a 20 year reunion.

Your thoughts are much appreciated.

If I don’t get any feedback, I’ll just assume that nobody is interested and plan on seeing everyone at our 20 year reunion.
